Wooden Ships Comments
Folkboat built in 1964 by the Medina Yard, Cowes.
Bought by the present owner in Ireland and refitted in the UK with a very thorough refit carried out initially in 2011 at the Haines boat yard.
The Folkboat has become very well known for their sailing qualities and capabilities despite their size. Although not big on interior space or creature comforts, they make up for this in being a delight to look at and to sail. A boat this size is easy to maintain and cheap to berth, so with their sailing capability the Folkboat makes a lot of sense for many yacht owners.
This particular example was built to a very high standard originally with first class materials and has had a thorough refit in the present ownership. Her gleaming topsides stand out and it is easy to see her quality of finish.
