Wooden Ships Comments on this 8′ Stirling and Son rowing dinghy

Clinker dinghy designed and built by Will Stirling of Stirling and Son in 2009.  Built for the current owner but used very little and garaged the majority of the time

Very high quality professional build, still in immaculate condition and ready to use.

Construction

Clinker planked in mahogany copper rivet fastened to steamed oak timbers.

Varnished oak sheer strake, gunnels and rubbing strake.

Oak stem, keel and transom

Varnished oak thwarts and supporting hanging knees.  Aft, centre and forward thwart.

Slatted varnished sole boards
