Vintage wooden gaff cutter for sale

Designed by Norman Dallimore, believed to be the oldest surviving example of his, built in 1912. Major professional refit between 2005 and 2007 with many new steamed timbers, new floors and centreline bolts, new deck, engine, systems and complete new rig. Standing and running rigging new in 2018. A pretty boat that has been finished to a very good standard but has only been sailed a handful of times since completion of her major refit. 2 single berths that convert to a large double across the whole of the cabin. Yanmar 1GM diesel engine. Sails from Ratsey and Lapthorn as new. A lovely pre WWI yacht in super condition.

Iain Oughtred Grey Seal design, professionally built and launched in 1997. Traditionally built clinker hull with larch planking on oak frames. Shallow draft with a centreboard and beaching legs enabling her to access shallow areas. Sitting on a recently serviced Snipe road trailer, total towing weight of approximately 2.5 tons. The Grey Seal is said to be the only Oughtred boat truly designed for open water sailing, and this boat has cruised extensively around the remote areas of north west Scotland. A rare and rather special little boat.
