Wooden Ships Comments on this Gaff Sloop Dayboat
Designed and built in Govan on the Clyde by Jonny Burke in 2016. Jonny has a background in racing and so good sailing performance is central in his designs. This boat has quite a wide beam and pretty lines so that alongside sailing capability you will find space for all the family in boat that catches the eye.
This boat comes with North Sea sails, fitted buoyancy bags and a SBS bunked trailer, all new in 2016.

Construction
Clinker planked in 3/8” thick quarter sawn Douglas Fir on steamed oak timbers, all copper rivet fastened. Iroko stem and transom.
Varnished inside and out from new. Light blue anti-foul below the water line.
Elm thwarts, bow and sternsheets with Ekki flooring.
Aerofoil centreboard constructed of a 5/16” steel plate encased in fibreglass. Transom hung rudder.
Rig
Gaff sloop rig with varnished solid Sitka mast and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging and bronze chainplates. The boat was rigged at first launch and all of the rigging was all new in 2016 and so is in excellent condition. Un-battened mainsail and jib both in excellent condition, sail area of 133ft2.
